Managers

Comment on You Nuo's column "The role of international managers"

(China Daily, September 10, 2007)

As consumers we do not really care whether China has international
managers. What we care about is high quality and value-for-money products
which require excellence in R&D and quality control before anything else.

Problems of teachers

Comments on "Wen stresses importance of education" (China Daily September
10, 2007)

I used to be a teacher and I am very satisfied with the experience. But
there are still some problems that need to be solved urgently, such as
salaries, and the working conditions of teachers. I hope these problems
can be addressed, and do not end up as empty promises.

We all should show respect for our hard working teachers. It is they that
make the world more full of love and giving. I would like to take this
opportunity to wish all teachers a belated "happy day" for their big day
on Monday. May they continue to enlighten our children.

Only Confucius can tame the Caishen, the God of Wealth. China needs a
strong teachers class to balance the business class.

Teaching is undoubtedly the best job in the world. A child cannot become
a knowledgeable adult without a teacher.

No country can become powerful and flourish without teacher.

In the rural areas of China, many primary and middle schools lack good
teachers, so many children do not receive a good education.

Luckily, our government has realized this problem and has adopted
measures to solve it.
